Ordered general tso's chicken and Kung pao shrimp to-go. Fresh tasting standard fare Chinese food. The owners, and their kids who were helping out, were really nice and the place was super clean. Only thing is there seemed to be a LOT of MSG. I was completely knocked out after eating here! My system may be extra sensitive to it though.

I'm not a fan of average, overly sauced, Americanized Chinese food. If you are, you might like this but, I've had better in a shopping mall food court. The only saving grace, in my opinion, is the lovely staff. Very eager to help and be of service. I liked them very much so this review is difficult.

Had the Sweet and Sour Chicken and General Tsao's Chicken...average at best. Nothing special here, although the staff was friendly. Fried Rice was average too! Good prices!

I stumbled on this place while driving to Steel City Pizza during lunch time a few weeks back. Steel City was doing a good lunch business, so we decided to try Bamboo House, which was experiencing just the opposite business type of lunch. The business is not easy to spot, as they are the last store front on the strip, that does not run parallel to the street. Their food is really enjoyable and at a great price, lunch is $8.95 for two options, which are not on the menu, {see chalk board or call for detail} and the price for 2 for lunch is really hard to beat. FYI: for those that have yet to notice-I am a Big Eater and I can tell ya the portions they give are ample to say the least. Given what I have ordered, I feel Bamboo House is one of the better Chinese Food spots in North Charleston, perhaps even greater CHS. The employees (front to back) always have a smile as they go about their day, prices are very reasonable (8.75 is the highest price on the menu). open 7 days a week from 11;00am till 10:00PM. Out of 3 visits to the Bamboo House, I have yet to be disappointed. .My recommendations thus far: Chef's Special-Beef with Garlic Sauce (8.75) House Special Mai Fun (7.25) I get one item EVERY time I get Chinese food, no matter the situation---Hot and Sour soup----an all time favorite, gotta have it on every order.. BH prepared the soup quite well, so, that means for me that we (I - me) are very cool with Bamboo House.

My husband found this place right after we moved to the area. It is by far the best Chinese food around. It's the only place we have found that does not overcook the chicken. And the portions are big enough we usually share. Pricing is reasonable. If you find yourself in the area I definitely recommend you try this place.

Same as the other reviewer, we stumbled upon this place. Glad we did. Very clean and great customer service. Reasonable prices and large portions. One of the best we've found in the low country. I took off a star because they don't offer white meat option for some of their dishes which probably means its not made in house.
